Wilpattu National Park
Wilpattu National Park is Sri Lanka’s largest and one of its oldest protected areas, covering 1,317 square kilometers.
Wilpattu offers a more tranquil, less crowded safari experience compared to Yala.
Wilpattu National Park is famous for its elusive leopards and sloth bears, but that’s just the beginning. The park’s lakes—called “villus”—are home to crocodiles, deer, wild boar, and over 200 species of birds.
